Fairmont Royal Pavilion
Fairmont Royal Pavilion boasts a prime location in Barbados, situated directly alongside a stunning beach. As a longstanding icon in the luxury hotel landscape on the west coast, it continues to uphold its reputation as one of the most refined hotels on the entire island.
Rooms
The hotel comprises 72 bedrooms, all positioned directly behind the beach, offering a sea-facing perspective. The accommodations feature a fresh, stylish ambiance with a calming palette of cream, grey, and beige. Adorned with contemporary Barbadian art, each room boasts smart marble bathrooms equipped with a walk-in shower and tub. Standard amenities include robes and tea- and coffee-making facilities. The upper-floor rooms come with balconies featuring a circular daybed, while the ground-floor suites offer wooden decks with sun loungers, steps away from the beach.
Food
The hotel offers two beachfront restaurants. The Palm Terrace, an opulent venue with pink marble flooring, vaulted ceilings, and sea views through lofty arches. Taboras, a pillared and open-sided restaurant, presents a more casual atmosphere, though dinner tables are adorned with white cloths. The menu here emphasizes simplicity, consistently offering local fish prepared in various ways. Additionally, there is an informal daytime café situated near the watersports center.
Facilities
Facility-wise, the hotel boasts a delightful large rectangular swimming pool accompanied by a hot tub. Guests can enjoy non-motorized watersports, including kayaks, sailboats, and paddle-boards. Additionally, the hotel provides two tennis courts and a well-equipped gym. As a thoughtful touch, a staff member from the watersports center guides guests for a complimentary swim to where turtles congregate off the beach each day. Surprisingly, given the hotel's class, there is no on-site spa. However, guests can still indulge in spa treatments, conveniently offered in their rooms.
