The Grand Hôtel du Soleil d’Or first opened its doors in 1901 in Megève… This venerable building has undergone a dramatic facelift and emerged 120 years later as the 11th property of the MILLESIME collection. While certain elements of past glory have been retained the end result is a totally new take on hospitality and well-being in Megève. A surprising and fabulously stylish world firmly rooted in the history and traditions of the village of Megève, with a richly indulgent chocolate theme, promising authenticity and gourmet pleasures thanks to the Chocolate Factory. The decor has been meticulously designed to give you a unique experience, from the warm woody shades to the light fittings shaped liked cocoa beans. Inspired by authentic French cuisine, the chefs menu offers dishes such as Savoie lamb with creamy garlic and rosemary jus, roasted broccoli and almonds in a white wine and chanterelles sauce, cocoa millefeuille with pistachio cream and a number of tantalsiing dishes. In addition to its gourmet restaurant, the Grand Hotel du Soleil d’Or has a terrace with a panoramic view of the surrounding mountains, offering more casual bites from salads, to sandwiches and tapas. The Wellness/Fitness space facing the mountains features all the essential equipment with a TRX studio cycling concept (two bikes with virtual RPM classes) on one side.
