Le Val Thorens
This ski in ski out, retro-style hotel, boasts stunning mountain views whilst being centrally located. With their bustling terrace and bars and peaceful spa, they’ve created the perfect atmospheric balance.
About
At 2300m Val Thorens benefits from its high altitude and favourable ski conditions, sharing the expansive 3 Valleys ski area. Hotel Le Val Thorens was one of the first hotels established in the resort, offering ski in ski out access and being close to nearby restaurants and shops. It is a modern and contemporary hotel, with a retro twist, boasting stunning views of the slopes and a sizeable outdoor terrace for you to enjoy a hot chocolate in the sun. Inside there’s the busy, bustling lobby, the brasserie with its multiple culinary influences, plus the flamboyant bar… But for those looking for peace and quiet, you will find the rooms and the spa a perfect retreat.
Rooms
Far from the fever of the outdoor bar, the bedrooms are the perfect place to take it easy. Inside, wooden walls, woolen drapes, padded ottomans and warm tones make it a cosy place to wind after a day on the slopes. Each with their own balcony, enjoy peace and quiet whilst taking in the incredible mountain views. The five types of rooms vary in size from their Comfort Rooms measuring 23 sqm to the Suites measuring 43 sqm. For families, we recommend the Privilege rooms and Suites which offer bunk beds for children.
Dining
First coffee of the day, a quick lunch, traditional fondues, late-night cocktails, etc. Le Val Thorens’ three venues serve local cuisine whenever you fancy. More than handy and welcoming: fun and fashionable.
La Brasserie du Val Thorens - In the daytime, “the” slope-side outdoor seating area is packed. Early-morning skiers, sunseekers, and after-ski enthusiasts mix. Enjoy quick and tasty local specialities: hot-diots, croque-Beaufort, freshly-roast chestnuts, etc., either to eat in or take away. The brasserie closes in the evening…before returning the next day with more generous, carefully-crafted bistro fare. Quick…and tasty.
La Fondue - There’s something to be said for tradition, too. At La Fondue, tradition means timeless, high-altitude classics…. with extra cheese. Their mountainous regional menu features raclette, tartiflette and… fondue. Authentic and honest.
Le 1971 - Padded, velvety, woody… the new bar is a first-class refuge. Tuck up snug and warm by the roaring fireplace to enjoy the music while sipping a classic cocktail with a modern twist. Seventies style: elegance guaranteed.Open from 8am until midnight.
Wellness
The hotel guests can enjoy complimentary access to the pool and spa area. The pool is open every day from 10.00 am – 8.00 pm with huge arching windows that look out onto the slopes. Or perhaps you’re looking for something a little more indulgent… Relax your muscles in the sauna or hamman, or treat yourself to a treatment off their spa menu, from facials to massages there are a range of nurturing treatments on offer.
