About
Splash is part of the Kwara Private Reserve, a region renowned for its year-round wildlife activity and diverse habitats, ranging from wetlands to open plains. The camp is designed to blend seamlessly into its natural surroundings, with open-air communal areas that overlook the floodplains. The atmosphere is relaxed yet luxurious, with a strong focus on sustainability and eco-friendly practices to minimise the camp’s environmental impact. Splash Camp offers an all-inclusive experience, with activities ranging from traditional game drives to water-based safaris, ensuring guests can explore the Okavango Delta from different perspectives. The camp’s location in a private concession also allows for exclusive experiences, such as night drives and walking safaris.
Rooms
Splash features spacious, beautifully designed tented suites, each offering privacy and stunning views of the surrounding bush. The tents are raised on wooden platforms and feature large, open windows that bring in natural light and allow guests to enjoy the sounds of the delta. Each suite includes a comfortable king-size bed, en-suite bathroom with both indoor and outdoor showers, and a private deck where guests can relax and watch wildlife pass by. The interiors are designed with natural tones and locally sourced materials, providing a perfect blend of comfort and a connection to nature. Families or groups can opt for the larger family units, which offer two adjoining tents, ensuring ample space and privacy.
Activity
Splash offers a range of activities that allow guests to experience the unique wildlife and landscapes of the Okavango Delta. Morning and afternoon game drives, led by experienced guides, provide the opportunity to see iconic African wildlife, including elephants, lions, leopards, and buffalo. Water-based safaris are another highlight, with mokoro (traditional dugout canoe) trips and motorboat excursions through the delta’s winding channels, where guests can spot hippos, crocodiles, and a variety of bird species. Walking safaris are also available, offering a closer look at the delta’s smaller wildlife and plant life. Additionally, Splash Camp offers night drives, allowing guests to observe nocturnal animals and experience the magic of the delta after dark.
