Sasaab combines opulence with a deep connection to nature. Inspired by Moroccan architecture, the lodge is designed to maximise shade while maintaining open-air spaces to embrace the wilderness. The property is part of the Westgate Community Conservancy, ensuring guests have access to exceptional wildlife encounters while supporting local conservation efforts. The lodge features nine spacious tented suites, each offering over 100 square metres of living space. Designed to balance luxury with the rugged beauty of the landscape, the rooms feature large canvas walls that open to reveal sweeping views of the river and surrounding plains. Sasaab offers a wide range of experiences that immerse guests in the Samburu wilderness. Daily game drives provide opportunities to spot iconic African wildlife, including elephants, lions, and leopards, as well as the unique ‘Samburu Special Five’ — Beisa oryx, reticulated giraffe, Grevy’s zebra, gerenuk, and Somali ostrich. Guided walking safaris allow guests to connect with the landscape on foot. For a cultural experience, guests can visit a local Samburu village to learn about their traditions and way of life.
