About

The ranch has been restored with care and updated from the early vision of its Italian designers. Sosian is a welcoming and informal lodge offering a friendly home-from-home environment. The original main house provides classic elegance with a dining room, sitting room, bar, and billiards room. The beautiful swimming pool and pool house provide welcome refreshment after a day out in the bush, and for the tennis fans, there is a court on-site.

Rooms

In total Sosian can sleep up to 16 guests. Four cottages of different sizes, scattered amid the vibrant gardens offering views of Mount Kenya, house the seven rooms. Nestled among Fever trees, the spacious outdoor verandahs and cedar-wood deck chairs strike a perfect balance between privacy and connection with nature. The rounded en-suite cottages, adorned with light wooden furnishings, local rugs, and unique Kenyan decorative accents, exude a tidy and inviting ambiance. Immerse yourself in the comforts of home amidst the beauty of the African bush.

Wildlife

With many years of careful management, the wildlife on Sosian has flourished.  They are fortunate enough to have a diverse cross-section of habitats that hosts a long list of birds and mammals, including elephant, hippo, buffalo, lion, leopard, cheetah, hyena, giraffe, zebra, kudu, oryx, impala, warthog, plus many smaller predators such as bat-eared foxes, genet cats and serval cats. The greatest conservation success of the region remains with the black rhino, almost half of Kenya's entire population can be found in this area.
