Peponi Hotel

About

Peponi is run by the Korschen family and has been since 1967. Whilst the hotel has grown since its early days as a 4-bedroom guest house, the same 'home from home' laid back ethos and atmosphere remains. Over the years Peponi has organically grown into a small boutique hotel with 29 rooms, all of which have an ocean view and unique decor. Peponi Hotel sits at the beginning of the 14km Shella beach.

Rooms

Guest have a choice of superior or standard rooms; superior rooms are differentiated by their location, size and private outside area with swing bed. All rooms have ensuite bathrooms, overhead fans inside the mosquito net and personal safes. In addition there are family rooms, sleeping up to 4, and 3 apartments featuring a spacious open living, kitchen and dining area.

Activity

There are plenty of activities on offer including water sports for all age groups and levels of experience, with competent instructors on hand and a wide range of equipment to hire from windsurfers, body boards, wake boards and water skis. In addition, the archipelago offers some of Kenya’s best snorkelling waters, with favourable conditions between October and April. Or you may just choose to relax by the pool, overlooking the ocean, drink in hand.

Food

Peponi Hotel prides itself on its diverse and sustainable cuisine. The restaurant offers a good selection of menus with influences from around the globe but rooted in local culture. From Japanese to Italian and Swahili to South-East Asian cuisine, there's a great variety of dishes to suit all tastes. Produce is locally sourced, and the seafood exceptional.
