Surrounded by diverse natural habitats, home to hundreds of rare species of wildlife, the mission at Habitas is to redfine the safari concept by creating a dynamic, hands on experience through deeper connections to wildlife, nature and local culture. Indeed the architecture here sets a new safari standard, it's sleek minimalism, clean lines and practically wall-less structures create an understated luxury.

Rooms

Elevated above the savanna on top of the hill, each Savanna Room at Habitas is equipped with sweeping panoramic views connecting you to nature and of the surrounding landscape. Beds are king-sized or twins, and en-suite bathrooms come equipped with a luxurious rain shower. Surrounding each room, a broad deck comes complete with a table and chairs for private dining, plus a sofa and telescope.

Camp

The camp's main area, a flat, slightly elevated platform with stretched-canvas roof and uninterrupted views, offers cozy seating areas with modern sofas, floor cushions and ethnic rugs. The dining area is a half dome, reed-built construction lined with wood panelling and outside a sunken fireplace area, surrounded by canvas chairs, offers unending night sky views.

Activity

Safari Experiences at Habitas are designed for participation, discovery and immersion. Guests can explore the savanna by day or night on guided nature walks, safari drives and mountain bike excursions. Enjoy a culinary picnic along the way whilst catching a glimpse of the reserve's wildlife, including, rhinos, giraffe and zebra. Or restore and recharge with a treatment or two at the spa, where therapies combine the best techniques and ancestral practices from different parts of the world, with a strong influence of the indigenous culture native to Namibia.
